COMMUNITIES OF OPERATION

Eat. Work. Live.

The Schwan Food Company started as a one-man, one-truck operation in Marshall, Minnesota that grew into so much more. Now we are in communities across America where we develop, manufacture and market our products.

We take pride in being an integral part of each of our communities. Without these communities, we would not be the company we are.

PRODUCTION FACILITIES
Pizza and Appetizers

Salina, Kansas

The first Manufacturing plant outside of Marshall was found with a simple newspaper ad that read: “Wanted: Frozen Pizza Manufacturer.” From there Schwan began operating a pizza plant in Salina, Kansas in 1970, when it first purchased the Tony’s® pizza brand. That plant has grown from a 12,000-square-foot facility to more than 500,000 square feet.

Florence, Kentucky

Located just 20 minutes south of Cincinnati, Ohio, the pizza plant in Florence, Kentucky produces rising-crust and pizzeria-style pizzas under our Red Baron® and Freschetta® pizza lines.

Pasadena/Deer Park, Texas

Schwan may be best known for its ice cream, but our manufacturing facilities near Houston, Texas in Pasadena and Deer Park lay claim to being the largest producers of egg rolls in the world. These plants manufacture ethnic food and appetizers under the Minh® and Pagoda Express™ brand names. They also produce burritos, chalupas, pot stickers, spring rolls and flautas.

Hollywood, Florida

When hotels and other businesses in the foodservice industry are looking for handmade, premium-quality hors d’oeuvres, they turn to our plant in Hollywood, Florida. Located near Miami, our workers pay attention to the closest detail while producing these amazing appetizers.
